Baked potato was delicious. The service was great. The workers were really nice. will definitely come back.

Such a wonderful experience! I say experience instead of meal because it was such a fun, pleasant experience. My two friends and I (senior ladies) were on our monthly road trip to try family owned restaurants within a couple hours drive so we decided to try Deuce's BBQ. We live 60+ miles away and not familiar with Deuces. We were surprised to find it was not a sit down restaurant, but instead a very attractive food trailer for drive up business and covered picnic tables in the back. We ordered their brisket plate lunch special that included a large portion of brisket with homemade BBQ sauce on the side. We also tried their 3 sides of the day 1- rice dressing (delicious) 2- Mac-n-cheese (they smoke a block of cheese that is used with the pasta and season it with a little chili powder, chipotle and I'm not sure what else that makes it creamy with a little kick. YUM!!) 3- Potato Salad (So GOOD but not a traditional South La salad. Their salad reminds me of a loaded potato casserole.) We sat at one of their picnic tables in beautiful weather. The owners came out, bringing our food as well as samples of other meats to try. How nice was that?!! We spent at least 30 minutes laughing and talking with the owners. The husband is the cook. He is originally from Texas and uses that dry rub, slow smoked style for the meat. His homemade BBQ sauce is thin, sweet, & a little tangy. Their drive thru is very busy so we aren't the only ones who appreciate their unique food and super friendly service!

So I've been a regular of Deuce's Taste of the South for a while now. After months of regularly visiting, it's time to give a fair and honest review. First off, since I've had their breakfast brisket tacos for the first time, it's now become a Friday morning tradition for me to grab a couple on my way to work. At first, I got salsa, and I'm pretty funny about how "oniony" salsa is, and I judged it harshly at first. One day I decided to just bite the bullet and try it, and it was a game changer. I highly recommend the breakfast tacos (I've had them all, they're all great) with hash browns added. I've also gone on Sundays after church. I usually don't eat much carbs, so I got the triple sampler. Their brisket is off the charts, their pulled pork is great, even though I'm not a fan of pulled pork...Deuce's is converting me, their sausage is pretty good, the chicken is very well done and tender....but the turkey. If you ever get a chance to stop by when they're smoking the turkey...you have GOT to get it! I work down the road and when I am feeling generous, it's nothing for me to order 30 brisket tacos for the office, and when I do and they see that Deuce's label on the pan, it makes for a great work day. Deuce's is very conveniently located near Hwy. 90 in Broussard LA. They have a drive thru that makes things so easy. Their staff is phenomenal...I have not yet had a bad experience, they address me by name every time I drive up there. They always make sure I have everything I need and prepare my food fast. Now fair warning, Deuce's can get a little busy at times, and if you don't call ahead, you may have a little wait, but it's not often. Call ahead, you'll thank yourself later. I show up about ten minutes before 7 so I'm one of the first couple in line for my tacos. I'm writing this on a Thursday, so needless to say talking about the tacos I'll be having tomorrow is making my mouth water! Keep up the great job, Deuce's. You guys (and girls) are a master at smoking meat, and it shows. I recommend you guys to anyone who will listen to me. See y'all Friday!

It's been awhile since I gave 5 stars but this place is awesome. I had the brisket tacos and my lord .... Outstanding! Extremely friendly lady that runs it! She doesn't open until 7am but she opened up for us due to us having class . Awesome prices , awesome food and awesome people. Highly recommended you stop in and support these folks !
